Mary Ellen Hill ~ Storyteller & Teacher
About Me
My first public storytelling performance was in a redwood grove amphitheater
on Earth Day in 1990. My repertoire consists of
multicultural folk and fairy tales about sun,
moon, spider, ocean, turtle,
strawberries, humans and others.
The stories will tell you about buzzard's
bravery, squirrel's generosity, the adventures of a boy riding a dragon and
the wisdom of a girl's dream.
I also love to tell creation myths about how the first
rainbow appeared, why
some trees stay green, why sun and moon live in
the sky, how night came from the sea and many others.
My stories encourage listeners to participate and my
performances are often enhanced by props, poetry, song and sign language.
My focus in storytelling includes the Universe Story, Creation Myths, Star and
Earth Stories, and others. Get in touch with me today.
I perform in the San Francisco Bay Area and Nationwide.
